Wd like to think that the mooney that place consumed would be put back into something that wouldn't be spent on some other equally stupid outlay of cash...like studying gay seagulls, or why dogs like to roll on dead stuff...you know..top drawer projects.

Amazing, huh? I used to surf off of Ocean Beach in San Diego when I was stationed there in the Navy. 2 years ago, my wife and I were in the area..and b'gosh and b'gorra! The levels still came up to the exact same place on the beach as it did over 45 years ago.
