There might be another solution to the immigration and unemployment problems. Anyone in favor of further immigration, legal and illegal can give up their job and citizenship and move to the country of the immigrant's origin. This would be a citizen exchange program, one for one. I would rather live with someone who desires the opportunities, laws, and liberty of the USA, then ones who are trying to destroy them. Really now, New York wants to let illegals vote and Illinois wants to give them drivers' licenses. We have millions who have been here illegally for years without worry of deportation. We have been giving them all types of aid including in state tuition rates lower than an out of state legal citizens can obtain. . You want us to believe that this time will be different ? My heart sank when John McCain chided host Bill Cunningham for using Obama's middle name in the '08 election. What are we when we cannot call someone by their real name? I agree we need highly educated immigrants. We don't need lawn cutters . The purple card sounds like a good idea, but should contain a GPS chip to track them. Failure to card the card should lead to immediate deportation.
