You describe what the result of Ryan's selection would be if the electorate were made up of thoughtful, rational people. But half of the electorate has swallowed the administration's absurd lies (see PeskyFacts 8:51 am post, for example), and may not be open to logical arguments. I think Ryan is a great pick, and will be a great VP and, next, maybe president. But we have a lot of work to do to make that happen. We are in for ten weeks of the most unbelievable lies, slime and distraction from the Obama campaign that any of us has ever encountered.
