"assault weapons" are already illegal- problem is those on the left, who want to ban semi-auto rifles, like Sen. Feinstein-have no effin clue what an "assault weapon" is- The term,in current use,was coined by anti-gun activist/writer Josh Sugarman in the mid-80's-when he wrote the article in which he introduced the term- he stated that since the public is confused about the difference between an A-R-15, and an M-16-they will just think that if it looks like a machine gun-it must be a machine gun- after continuing this bullsh*t,with the help of ABC,CBS,and NBc's showing photos of a browning .50 caliber belt-fed machine gun with every gun story-and calling it a "rifle'-it has added to the confusion-

How do they explain that when they talk about glaciers melting in Glacier National Park-that those glaciers have been melting since the end of the last ice age,and just like ice cubes, when they get smaller-they melt faster.

Again-your information is way,way off-there are currwently NO "alternative energy" sources that can meet current power needs,NONE. The lies and obfuscation come from both sides, but moreso from the green energy side of the debate. You do have one thing right again-the change from family farms to huge agri-buisnesses, factory farming methods, and edge to edge plowing of fields has seriously harmed wildlife populations, especially upland birds, rabbits and foxes, and with no windbreaks or fencerows left,a few major rains that flood fields, and wash away topsoil,or a prolonged drought will pre-create the same conditions that produced the dustbowl, and the big "black blizzards" of topsoil.

We do not need to be removing dams that generate hydro-electric power-we need to be building more-as it is the single most cost effective, and environmentally friendly way to generate power. We no longer over hunt,or over fish-that's why we have state fish and wildlife agencies, and sell hunting and fishing licenses-these agencies set quotas to maintain a population at levels that support a sustainable harvest. Agricultural land is NOT being destroyed for fracking-all that's left after drilling and fracking is a small well pad, some pipes, and storage tanks. The only thing you have right is the runoff from pesticides and fertilizers pollutes some streams.

2) Our streams, lakes and rivers are cleaner than they have been since the start of the environmental movement in the early 70's. The Cuyahoga river, which flows into Lake Erie at Cleveland Ohio-caught on fire in the 60's/70's due to so much industrial pollution-now it is a prime steelhead trout fishery, also has a large populaion of northern pike that are of trophy size-I've caught multiple pike over 42" from the river. Dams along the river have been almost all removed,however-the removal of one of those dams ruined the best pike fishery on the river, and the local bait and tackle shops, along with a couple boat and canoe rental places went out of buisness. There has to be a balance that considers humans.

Wow! You drank all the enviro-nazi kook-aid! Your claims are not based in anything that even resembles fact- 1) We DO have healthy forests, except the parts destroyed by wildfires, due to the enviros not allowing removal of any deadfall. Our logging practices have changed, there are no more cases of just clear cutting huge tracts of forest. Almost all hardwood logging is done by selective harvest-that is a sustainable harvest. Housing lumber is produced from fast growing species, such as southern yellow pine, mostly grown on "tree farms"-vast tracts of land planted with trees as soos as the mature trees are harvested-meaning every year-there are plenty of mature trees to harvest-that is also a sustainable harvest.
Stricter gun controlo laws? How many gun laws have to be passed and ignored by those intent on committing gun crimes before people like you realize that no matter how many laws you pass-the criminals do NOT follow ANY of the laws? Meth is illegal, heroin is illegal, yet there are hundereds of thousands,if not millions of people who use, sell and overdose on illegal drugs-when will you comprehend that you can not just make a law to solve a problem?
No,it aint the GOP that's calling for more gun control, calling for more taxes, allowing governemtn agancies to have almost unchecked power,EPA,TSA,Homeland Security, etc, etc. It's not the GOP who is allowing environmental extremists, and animal "rights" activists to dictate federal policies,it's the Demonrats and the far left calling for the government to have unlimited powers-the 1930's comment is far more appropriate for the demonrats and the left-who are the Nazis in this case.

"Target sells a five-pack of Kool-Aid for just a $1.00." The kool-aid is useless without the sugar you have to add to it,so it's really a lot more than $1.00-plus with a cup of sugar for a quart-it really isn't healthy. "it's a fact that large swathes of SNAP money are poorly spent on things like potato chips and lottery tickets." The chips-yeah,true-however,you can not purchase lottery tickets with any food assistance card,in any state-the funds must be spent on food,no tobacco, alcohol, paper products, etc. No lottery tickets either.

This is old news-and no,it had nothing to do with GOP anything-more like an extension of Clinton/Reno era gov't agencies gone wild-shooting and killing innocent citizens.
