There seems to be a bit of a disconnect in some circles. Some people appear to believe that if Gregory is arrested for this violation under these nebulous circumstances, that it would be an unusual event. That police do not regularly engage in such arrests. The tragedy is that the D.C. police force, like many others, routinely arrests and jails good citizens under nebulous circumstances. Which is just fine with certain activists and politicians. If Gregory is not arrested, it will be because the district attorney chose to treat him differently than others. The investigation into NBC Meet the Press host David Gregory has been completed by Washington D.C. police and has been turned over to the attorney general's office, who will decided whether to prosecute the case. As a refresher, three weeks ago Gregory interviewed NRA President Wayne LaPierre from the Meet the Press studio in Washington D.C.
