There is always an opportunity to start being smarter now. There is an ugly discussion coming relative to spending cuts and increasing the debt ceiling and the Republicans had better be ready or they are going to be the ones who get blamed again (remember Obama has no other tool in the bag other than to blame others for his ignorance and lack of leadership skills). The Republicans need to decide who the speaker is going to be without multiple floor votes that will give the democraps an opening. Figure it out before the first vote and only take the deciding vote. Send a message to the President that the Republicans are going to start by being smarter now.

Things have been a tad...uncomfortable in House Republicanville over the last few weeks, and yesterday's "deal" only exacerbated the tension.  With the 113th Congress set to take the reins tomorrow, the lower chamber's GOP conference will reportedly gather this evening to discuss their leadership situation.  Depending on who you believe, either Boehner is calmly assured that he has the votes to be re-elected as Speaker...
