Good article by Kieffer. She understands the spirit and focus of Ayn Rand's philosophy for living on earth. What a refreshing change from the usual ill informed diatribes against Rand. For anyone who admires competence, achievement and 'being the best that one can be', Rand's philosophy is a powerful force.

Horrendous philosophy? It is a wonderful philosophy based on the primacy of reason and the celebration of human life and achievement. Religion is opposed to both; no advocate of reason can be anything but an atheist. In any case, contrary to what you believe, Rand could'nt care less about this: it was too small an issue to be taken seriously, even by way of opposition.
