IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING: Fellow Conservatives: As the 2014 Republican primary elections near, an interesting question has been raised in party politics. Should all Republican senators be re-nominated after each term? The Republican establishment in Washington thinks so. In fact, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) recently announced it will oppose all conservative candidates who challenge Republican incumbents in primaries regardless of the circumstances. The NRSC believes that once a Republican is elected to the U.S. Senate, that senator should be re-nominated after each term. They don't think voters should ever elect someone new who better reflects their views. They don't care how long the senator has been there, what their record is, or if they're unpopular back home and could cost the party the seat. They believe in lifetime nominations and would probably eliminate primary elections for incumbents altogether if they could. The goal of the NRSC is no longer to win back the Senate, but rather to protect incumbents no matter how liberal they are and regardless of whether they are likely to be defeated by a Democrat in the general election.
There is only one thing that I'd say to anyone who looks to me like they're thinking of trying to play the "knockout game" on me, "I carry a gun, do you feel lucky today?"

The NFL Goes all Bloomberg on Gun Owners

I have to disagree with the writers contention that the NFL is violating advertisers First Amendment rights. They (the NFL), just like all other private businesses have the right to ban firearms from their property, and to pick and choose what advertisements they will air during their broadcasts. I don't like their choice, but I stand behind it. It's the same thing with my church. I have a concealed carry permit, but my church has forbidden us from possessing weapons in their buildings. So I leave the gun in my car when I'm in the church building for any reason. Again, I don't like it but I stand behind their decision because it is their right to have this policy.
Go tell someone who cares what you think.
I agree that the founders wouldn't recognize this place today. They'd say that political correctness is insanity and one of the biggest contributors to the mess we're in today.
I wouldn't trade any of it either, HM. Thank you and count on us to be there.
I've got to say that I have been truly blessed over the last two years and have MUCH to be thankful for. Not the least of which are a BEAUTIFUL wife and an AWESOME baby son (THANK YOU Babe, for him) who continues to amaze me every day as he learns new things. I'm very thankful for all the love and support I get from my parents and my brother and his family (whom I once gave very good reason to believe that none of these recent events would ever happen). I'm thankful for my awesome in laws, who thought I was insane for wanting to marry their daughter/sister. And of course my second family, Marine's Dad and company (including Hockey Mom, Nasty Z and kids), who have treated me like a member of their own family since CK and I became best friends almost 20 years ago, no matter how crazy we drove them all at times with our crazy adventures. THANK YOU ALL, for believing in and supporting me through all the rough times and the good. But most of all, THANK YOU, HEAVENLY FATHER, for blessing me with life and wisdom (and a few painful lessons that I very much deserved) and for giving them all the strength to love and put up with me WHEN WE ALL KNEW that I didn't deserve any of it. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

The majority of Utahn's WILL NOT support Huntsman if he's stupid enough to even think about running in 2016.
