Well's the problem - here in Virginia, in past years, its business-friendly climate brought a lot of jobs from NY, NJ, and elsewhere - followed by their liberal-minded workers, happy to escape where they lived. So, what used to be Republican country is increasingly "Progressive" - with the result that our quality of life here has badly declined, and will only accelerate as they gain more political power, and implement more and more Progressive regulations and ideas. As they grow increasingly hostile to business, businesses will again move on, and the cycle will repeat in some other place - what's that bird that takes over other birds' nests, until they befoul them and move on? Labor Unions have officially killed off the Twinkie. The company that makes the yummy treat announced today they will start to downsize operations (a.k.a. fire people) as a result of a long battle with union workers.

Hostess Brands Inc., the bankrupt maker of Twinkies and Wonder Bread, said it had sought court permission to go out of business after failing to get wage and benefit cuts from thousands of its striking bakery workers.
