As a person supposedly "been around guns their life" you would know the difference between a "Clip" and a "Magazine". Such calls for restrictions on magazines are disengenuious and false, along with being miss leading. They start with a false premiss that Firearm ownership is for only sports or hunting. OK you got me. It's just that I was raised with the M-1 which used a "clip" and just never changed my terminology. My local gun owner corrects me everytime I ask for a clip. I don't need more then 10 rounds for self defense. One round would probably be enough. I have a lot of confidence in my ability to hit what I'm aiming at.
