David, is it "discriminatory" to allow law-abiding adults to vote, but deny that privilege to convicted felons? Societies throughout history have incentivized what they want more of and disincentivized what they want less of. Surely you're not suggesting that we actively WANT more homosexuals...? then why incentivize them?!

Kal: Is there anyone remaining on this planet who hasn't already recognized that David is twice the intellect than brother Rush will ever be?! Rush is an entertainer who happens to hold conservative views; David is a legitimate analyst.

DB07: Also, the woman in the VS ad is an ADULT. The individuals in the Obama ads are not. Unless anyone here seriously believes that a 19-year-old Hollywood bimbo is "adult" in anything but the strictest legal sense...?

FlaCracker: My vote used to cancel out my son's...but now that he's in his 30s he isn't so all-fired keen on "social justice" anymore. These days he's far more worried about earning a fair day's pay for a hard day's work, and is beginning to vote (GASP!) Republican :D

Ah, Rush. Great libertarian lyrics! Too bad Geddy Lee's voice is too annoying to allow anyone to enjoy them ;-) Try some old Devo instead: Freedom of Choice, Gates of Steel...

Illbay: Are you seriously suggesting that the vast majority of junior enlisted active-duty military servicemembers, who do not make enough to pay net federal income tax (it comes out of their paychecks just like everybody else, but it all gets refunded at the end of the year) should not be allowed to vote? Shame on you, sir or madam. Personally, I'd rather see the franchise restricted to ONLY those who are serving or have served in the past. Robert Heinlein illustrated this premise in "Starship Troopers" -- the BOOK, not the ghastly Hollywood feature film they made out of it. -- Spike, military wife

Jay, this is the situation in my state too. But i's easy to become informed about judicial candidates -- and candidates for any other office which does not list candidacies by party -- by visiting relevant Voter Guides online. Both major parties publish them, as do a wide variety of civic organizations and interest groups.
