It is just amazing the invented stories told about someone else's faith. Christ was very clear about how to distinguish a man of faith and a hypocrite. "By their works ye shall know them." Dot2Dasher has a vivid imagination and a bigot spirit that is haunting his reason. If Christ died for save the world and gave his life for us, as he said, "greater love hath no man then this, that he lay down his life his friends." Joseph smith was murdered by political religious fanatics. Joseph Smith was promised protection by Governor Ford of Illinois as he was to be nominate the presidential candidate of the USA. But Joseph Smith knew it was a trap and was going to bring the church out to the west, but was call back to Nauvoo.

Indeed he did know that he was walking into a trap and that he'd never leave the Carthage jail alive.

"I am going like a lamb to the slaughter; but I am calm as a summer's morning. I have a conscience void of offence towards God, and towards all men. I shall die innocent, and it shall yet be said of me. 'He was murdered in cold blood'" (D&C 135:4).

Yeah, an armed lamb just like Jesus. You know, the Lamb of Gun.

"Joseph Smith, Taylor, and Richards attempted to defend themselves. Taylor and Richards attempted to use walking sticks in order to deflect the guns as they were thrust inside the cell, from behind the door. Smith used a small pepper-box pistol that Cyrus Wheelock gave him when Wheelock visited the jail earlier that day.[18] Three of the six barrels misfired,[19] but the other three shots injured at least three of the attackers.[20]"

Wow. I get it. A Jack Mormon and a Mormon want to fight here. Not necessary. Doesn't interest the rest of us.

Dot is no "Jack Mormon." He's not, and never has been a member of the LDS Church. He just think he knows more about it than all Mormon's combined do. I'm not going to argue/debate it with him though. He wants to hate us so let him, it doesn't keep me awake at night.

Jesus engaged in violence, too. Remember the casting out of the money changers from the temple? By all accounts Jesus would have been armed during that incident, most likely with a shepherds crook, a flagellum, or a rod of iron.

The Mormons have arrived. Let the the spin, it's sacred not secret, and Milk before Meat-fest begin.

If you missed it, actress Lindsay Lohan came out in support of Mitt Romney this week telling reporters at a party in Los Angeles that she thinks, “unemployment is very important now,” which is why she plans to support Gov. Romney. The endorsement didn’t garner much media attention because it didn’t elicit the same types of reactions Stacey Dash received for her support of Romney. Plus, at the end of the day it’s just celeb gossip, right? Maybe not. Business Insider has some interesting analysis:

While most would, at first glance, write this off as...
