I would also add this: Hardly anyone, or any organization, outside of NumbersUSA, FAIR, and other similarly concerned grup, has made this a major issue. It has been coming at us like an out of control freight train, yet so many conservatives ignored it and never called out, but championed people like Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich, both of whom trotted out their own little pandering plans. This issue is and has been for years the most important issue out there: Once you give amnesty of any kind you can't take it back. Nor can you help what will be done to our country because of it. Many Republicans, including conservatives, failed, and we will suffer the consequences.

During his SOTU address, President Obama touched on broad immigration reform principles and commended the work bipartisan groups in both chambers are doing to draft a bill. His tone seemed to indicate he would let Congress take the lead on immigration. “Send me a comprehensive immigration reform bill in the next few months and I will sign it,” he said during the speech. But on Saturday, the White House leaked details of its own immigration proposal, which Sen. Marco Rubio has called “dead on arrival.”
