No disastrous effects? You have no idea how many will be amnestied, but it is sure to be more than the idiotic 11 million talked about. That number may have applied years ago, but not now. And you honestly think that it will not cost this country trillions to implement this plus pay for the government programs illegals do not qualify for now but will then. Then there is the unemployment situation. How that will helped by throwing another 10 million or so into the labor market will not worsen an already bad situation only a non-thinking person like yourself could fantasize about. Then there is the likely obliteration of our culture: Think chain migation and higher birthrates.

Although we have been hearing a lot from Washington lately about new immigration policy, it seems that our legislators are not listening! A recent Reuters/Ipsos survey found that the majority of Americans want illegal immigrants deported. Clearly the 53 percent of respondents who want all or most illegal immigrants deported are not getting used to the idea of easing immigration laws.
