First, weapons do not cause "mass casualties". They are inanimate objects. Second, does the name Dianne Feinstein ring a bell? She has been trying to ban guns for quite some time now. There is no difference in your context. People should be allowed to buy whatever they can afford if they obtain the proper licenes. Assigning some sort of personality to an inanimate object is irrational and doesn't belong in serious discussion. When you decide to address the real issue (mental illness) let me know.

A driver's license should do. Seriously to keep and bear arms meant all arms that were used by the armed forces of the day. If rich men had not owned a few cannon then we might not have won the day in 1778.

I'm with you on that completely, however if some rich lunatic decides he wants an M-1 Abrahms, maybe he should get checked out a little first, no?

I think Sigmund was onto something with that quote.....

I agree right up to the point where you mention licenses. The power to license is the power to control; the power to tax is the power to destroy. Since both licenses and taxes "infringe" upon the individual's God-given right to keep and bear arms, then both are obviously unconstitutional.

I'll leave you with a useful quote from Sigmund Freud:

"A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity."

Guns, guns, guns. Love, love, love. America needs guns and love.

As humans, we have an inherent right to life. Our right to life (or self-defense) is a natural right and does not come from any document, even the Constitution. The Bill of Rights or the first ten amendments to the Constitution simply acknowledge our natural rights. Specifically, the Second Amendment recognizes our natural right to bear arms for self-defense.

Guns are the reactive, defensive answer to evil in the world. Love is the proactiveanswer to evil. We need both—guns and love.

Good men express themselves through love; love...
