Prepare for Fiscal Doom

Meanwhile the liberals continue to believe that every business can find a way to magically poop out dollars every time they want to raise taxes. They can't do simple math and continue to believe in the magic fairyland where businesses are gleefully rolling around in piles of money, just ripe tor the taking... err, "taxing." The same applies to anyone they consider "wealthy."

Here's an example I got yesterday from one of the liberal groups' emails: "Let's be clear, there are any number of crises that demand urgent action by Congress -- the foreclosure crisis, the unemployment crisis, the climate crisis to name just a few -- but reducing the deficit isn't one of them."

It gets better: "the only concrete thing they can point to in order to support their Chicken Little routine is the so-called 'fiscal cliff,'"

And: "if you take the danger of spending cuts to heart, the policy prescription should be stimulus spending, not cutting Medicare or Social Security benefits or giving away unneeded tax cuts to the wealthiest"

Proof that liberals are dumb.

Wait! My able-bodied neighbor NEEDS that money so he can stay home all winter laughing at the idiots that go to work, smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee and watching TV all the while figuring the people who work are the idiots. It's getting harder and harder to disagree with him--he's had numerous vacations out of state, buys whatever he wants and does really, really well on everyone else's money. Obama's handouts work when greed and selfishness (NOT the rich people, the moochers and looters) rule the population. Americans are very , very selfish when it comes to taking away from those who produce. So keep working so my neighbor doesn't have to. It's cold in the winter.

Then you won't lay the blame on illegal immigrants? Isn't blaming our neighbor another kind of class envy?

At least they deserve the blame.

OK, perhaps doom is too strong a word, but then again, perhaps it is not.

In either event, 2013 is not shaping up to be a banner year for the economy. And it’s not just or even mostly because of the fiscal cliff.

Our financial system is not stronger now than it was in 2008 when it finally collapsed under the weight of crashing real estate prices that fell all the harder because they were ballasted by plenty of government guaranteed debt.

In fact, prepare right now for the Next Great Bailout. Because this time around, the federal...
