Please explain how these so-called Oligarchs are stealing money from everyone else. I keep hearing the left bleat about how some people are making lots of money to the detriment of others, but have yet to hear why some earning more is harmful to anyone else. Like I said above, the economic "pie" is not of fixed size. Just because some earn more, it doesn't mean that others must earn less. And how is it that some people being successful and accomplishing their American Dream is considered :stealing" from others?

Blah blah blah... it's Bush's fault... blah blah blah.... So when does Obysmal start to take responsibility for his term in office, hmm? He's has 4 years already, yet you guys are still blaming Bush for everything. Typical liberal tactic of everything being someone else's fault.

The economic "pie" is not of fixed size. My earning more doesn't mean that someone else has to earn less. And who are you to determine that someone else has "enough" wealth? We are all guaranteed the right to pursue our own happiness, and if that means earning piles of money, so what? Worry about your own bank balance instead of envying others' and you'll be far better off.

??? Huh. I suppose someone forced that guy with one lung to set weeds on fire and suck the smoke into his lungs. And seriously, who ever thought *that* was a good idea? Somehow, having FDR, Social Security, and "the skills of hard work and determination" in the same sentence makes little sense to me.
Companies are not in business to provide jobs and food. They are in business to MAKE MONEY. If an employee costs them more than he makes them in profit, there is no point in hiring. Government has been making those costs increase drastically. You wouldn't work for no money, right, so why should a company hire if it won't bring them profit? Why should a wealthy person have to pay higher taxes because they have more? What about all the other sacrifices they've made in order to earn more, like time with family, vacations, parties, etc... People make choices in life, yet the government seems interested in penalizing only the ones that allowed people to become financially successful.
I don't think they should be abolished, but they do need massive overhaul. They need to support America's interests, not some partisan political agenda.
How a private enterprise manages its cash is up to them. Anyone who disagrees needs to buy shares and put resolutions to the other shareholders/ the board. Companies do need to retain funds for R&D and to ease them through lean times, but they should also reward shareholders when they have enough cash to do so. But again, this is up to the shareholders and board to decide.
Apple outsources most production overseas. He didn't so much create something as market something really well. His company's products aren't really better than all others, but he brilliantly managed to convince people they are. Buffett is the other side of the coin. He recognizes the potential value in companies and risks some of his money that those companies will produce that value. There's nothing wrong with that. His investment makes the companies more able to produce, so I don't think he creates "nothing."
Yup, and the sheeple are ignorant enough to buy it. We had the same problem here in Mass. The fools voted in Elizabeth Warren, who made a bundle flipping real estate and also worked in court cases supporting companies against individuals. Yet people believed she was for "the little guys." I really despise liberals, but they do seem to be very good at marketing. The GOP needs to pick up on their tactics.
ROFL! Yeah, Europe is ever so successful right now. Just look at all the people moving to France to take advantage of that awesome 75% income tax. LOL! And hey, what great health care, where you wait so long for treatment you die before getting any.
