Seems to me like they're trying to make up reasons for hatred against the successful and stir up more class warfare envy and resentment without even a shred of proof. Sadly, the low-information sheep... err, voters... buy into it without digging any deeper than the sensationalized headlines and sound bites. It's sad that so many get their "news" via these sources and take this blather as gospel. I suppose it's what we can expect from people who think Honey Boo-boo is good entertainment.
Ah yes, the whole "fairness" and income inequality thing again. I keep reading articles where liberals beat their chests and wail about income inequality, yet *none* have ever given a valid reason as to why this is a bad thing. They bleat about "fairness" and their favorite sound bite "fair share" (I really hate that one) yet cannot seem to explain why Jane making more money than John hurts John in some way. The articles ignore that and ramble on about how those mean old "rich" people are stealing from the poor (again without proof or explanation as to how this occurs) and using terms like "taking" or "owning" instead of "earning" their income.
It's not a "loophole." The problem is simply that people are not paying sales tax to their home states like they are supposed to. This bill will put the onus on online retailers to do this tax collection for them. No wonder the states want it - it gets them free labor.

They are nuts. Social Security is in the red as it is and they want to make us *more* dependent on it? That clinches it. Liberals simply cannot do even basic math. They want us all to be dependent on the government so we can be poor together... except for themselves, their cronies, and their union buddies. That way they can point to unions and say "See how well they're doing! Everyone should be in unions!" And where do they get off telling us how much is "enough" for us to have for retirement? Last I checked, we are a free country and are entitled to our pursuit of happiness. The Constitution sets no monetary limits on that.

Right, attack businesses again. Yes, there are unscrupulous businesses, but there are far more unscrupulous individuals stealing from the taxpayers. They are aided and abetted by these merchants, but the biggest problem by far is the greedy individual thieves.

Um, no. Management was hamstrung by ridiculous union demands that made the costs exceed profits. Anyone who can do math (which seems to exclude most liberals) can understand this. Companies are in business to make money, not to provide jobs and benefits. Profit is not a four-letter word. If the cost of employing someone is greater than the return he brings to the company, then there's no point in hiring them. Unions don't care about this fact and would rather kill a company than face reality.

I wonder about how much data we the taxpayers - who pay for all these programs - are allowed to see? I keep hearing from my state officials here in MA that the problem is small and fraud is just "anecdotes", yet when citizens try to get access to data to investigate, they are turned away or threatened. Last year, some citizens wanted to see parking records to validate that legislators were actually present on days they claimed parking fee allowances, yet they were denied by the governor and threatened by police when they set up cameras outside said garage for verification. DO we not have the right to see how *our* money is being spent?
Liberals are still attempting to redefine the word "fair."

Informed? Only if you consider getting "facts" from headlines and sound bites from biased sources to be "informed."

If you don't like what a company is paying its executives, you are free to buy shares and put resolutions to the board and shareholders. Otherwise, it's none of your business. Why are you liberals so concerned with other people's earnings? Seems like a lot of envy and desire to control others, to me. Go earn your own fortune and leave the rest of us to do the same.

Please explain how these so-called Oligarchs are stealing money from everyone else. I keep hearing the left bleat about how some people are making lots of money to the detriment of others, but have yet to hear why some earning more is harmful to anyone else. Like I said above, the economic "pie" is not of fixed size. Just because some earn more, it doesn't mean that others must earn less. And how is it that some people being successful and accomplishing their American Dream is considered :stealing" from others?
