Winning the White House would be the ultimate acceptance and validation for the Mormons, something that they've been denied since the deceiver Joseph Smith, Jr. and his right-hand man Sidney Rigdon tried and failed.
Of COURSE the Mormon will do well in N.H., he’s based in a bordering state, and one that many New Hampshirites work in.
If trends continue, Iowa will not have the minium population needed to meet statehood requirements. Perhaps we can give it back to the Indians in reparations for past wrongs.
The most obvious thing: NO BODY CARES who’s ahead in Iowa or N.H. the day after the caucuses or primary – unless it’s an extremely tight in the electorial college. Otherwise, they’re not even...

While I generally agree with Pat Buchanan, it is clear that he and his fellow writers at "American Conservative" are Muslim-lovers and anti-Israel. That's why I broke with the magazine.

What Pat missed in his article is
1) He attributes Yugoslavia to the World War One peace accords. Sara Mitchell, sister to the famous Billy Mitchell, wrote in "The Serbs Choose to Fight" that Yugoslavia had been a Croatian dream to unite the south Slavic peoples for many years, presumably before the peace accord.

2) The type of freedom and elected government that we and western Europe enjoy come from the Protestant Reformation, not from Islam. Other countries have tried to copy it but many fail because they do not have the "Protesant...
