Ah, Linda, how sweetly naive you are. Obama wants all these people who are here illegally to vote for him. That's pretty much all he needs. If we were to enforce our border laws, all these "children" (who BTW are around 30 years old by now) would have gone home a long time ago. I'm happy that their parents want a better life for their family. Who doesn't? They can just get in line with everybody else who has applied legally for citizenship. We have laws, Linda. If no one obeys them, why do we have them? This isn't about compassion. It's about the law.

Many conservatives reject President Obama's recent policy to defer action against illegal immigrants who came to the United States as children. But as a conservative who supports the president's decision, I think it's important to seriously engage the arguments both for and against the policy.
