1. You may not feel the need to defend your home or business (you rent and own no business), but that doesn't mean that others (e.g. the Korean business owners in the article) agree with you. They would rather die defending their life's work, and they are right to feel that way. 2. If you want to shift the argument from "Tyranny" and "Total Confiscation", you might want to take note that you are the one promoting gun control by decree and total disarmament. 3. Actually, you are wrong. Great Britain has strict gun ownership laws but has a higher violent crime rate per capita than the U.S.

To a liberal, they could care less that violent crime rates go up as long as the number of people killed by handguns goes down. That's all they see in their alternate reality.
