I must admit that I am impressed with this comment. I am particularly impressed with how you take on the real Coulter point by point, refuting her with impeccable logic and irrefutable facts. You are a credit to the left.

Disasters create jobs and opportunity? Well at least this explains the election of Obama; the left was obviously trying to induce a disaster in order to stimulate the jobs market.
I'm not so sure that satire is really vanishing from our culture. A more likely explanation is that lefties are devoid of any measurable sense of humor. Sure they can laugh at inane jokes about how stupid Bush is but they lack the ability to laugh at themselves which is essential to a person's sense of humor and ability to discern when they're being pompous. This makes them even more amusing to watch when they go off over their political beliefs being parodied. Keep up the good work and keep pushing their buttons. It's the only fun I can afford these days.

No argument there. If it were up to me I would either end all forms of government assistance or require that those receiving the assistance do some sort of community service. The only exceptions would be people who are physically incapable of working.

When I was first old enough to vote (I turned 18 in 1981) I overwhelmingly supported Reagan. As a child and teenager I had watched as the hippies did their level best to tear down this country with their moronic belief in socialism and/or communism. Their obsession with their own comfort and happiness was evident in their chants of "sex, drugs and rock and roll." This put together with their obvious desire to let Big Brother run their lives sickened me. I think that part of the reason I was conservative at such a young age was due to seeing how lefties acted. Their selfishness and disrespect for anyone who disagreed with them made me think things through rather than just listen their rhetoric. Who knows, maybe the current crop of...
Agreed. I worry that when the GOP controlled House goes to work and reverses some of the damage the lefties (and I do include RINOs in that mix) have done to the economy that Obama will get the credit just like Clinton did in 1996. I hope that people have learned that control of the nations finances is in the hands of the U.S. House and will give credit where it is due this time.
You lost the U.S. House and most of the gubernatorial races (currently the GOP is ahead by nearly 2-1 in gubernatorial races with one going for an Independent and 7 yet to be decided) and you have barely retained control of the U.S. Senate by a razor thin majority and you call that a win for your side? You lost two-thirds of the contest, yet claim victory; wow. That would be like Hideki Tojo claiming victory at the end of WWII because Japanese forces still controlled part of China and a few islands while Japan was being occupied by Allied forces. Talk about your Pyrrhic victories.
Two years ago on the day after the elections I wrote on these pages that you lefties had better enjoy your victory because right after the inauguration you would have to do what the left has never been able to do before, produce: produce jobs, produce national security, produce unity, produce peace, produce economic prosperity. You failed in all of that. All you produced was discontent and opposition. You refused to listen to opinions you didn't like, chosing to vilify those who gave the opinions instead. You were arrogant! You took a clear victory with a very popular politician and dumped all over it and at the same time dumped all over Americans, and now the American people had taken you out to the woodshed.

I completely agree. I think that most Americans want an end to the problem of illegal aliens taking our jobs, but just how far are we required to investigate someone we may hire? If you subcontract out work does that mean that you are required to vet all of of the contractor's employees? Where do we draw the line on blame? It is the contractor's fault for hiring illegals.

Speaking as one who worked as a cook for over 10 years I can say that that is a bald faced lie. Sunday mornings and early afternoon are one of the busiest shifts there is in a restaurant and one of the times that servers make the most in tips. Most servers are delighted to work because they know that most of the customers will be generous. Are there some Christians who are tightwads? Yes, but not most of them. They are generous and friendly people. On the other hand servers and managers hated it when the wealthy, but unwashed liberal students from one of the local colleges (Earlham, which is home to hippy wannabes, in Richmond, IN) would come in and order. The managers had to keep an eye on the Earlhamites because they had a habit...
