Cue the Semi-Educated, Liberal Attacks on Easter as Pagan

So all the high churches( RCC, Lutheran, Anglican, all of orthodoxy) have it wrong and YOU have it right? Your examples have been around for along time, and answers to them have been around for a long time. Don't expect anyone to answer this list here in any way that could satisfy you. Search out your own answers by reading the Church Fathers and history of the early Church.

what's this Hail Mary full of grace prayer....10 of those to 1 Our Father??? why do you even say that prayer...I can see you are so decieved that it will be your burden to bear when you stand in front of Jesus on Judgement day...Good luck..Never once did Jesus address Mary as mother in the bible only "woman." She is not a co-redemptrix like the Catholics are constantly touting...She is asleep like all the others waiting for her reward at the first ressurection

No, we do not worship Mary or pray to the saints. However, you are convinced that it is otherwise. That is your burden to bear.

A "prayer Chain" Prays to GOD to help the sick person or someone in need; NOT to some "saint" that has zero influence and may NOT even be in heaven. Why go through a dead man when you can Pray Directly to God just as well and with just as much influence.

I was in the catholic church for well over 50 years. Satan works in very subtle ways. You do worship Mary and you do pray to the dead saints...The righteous saints are sleeping. How many things do you get accomplished when you sleep???

Written by those that beoieved all that nonsense and done to strengthen their power and control; It has NOTHING to do with the Bible and Christ.

Joseph, your ignorance of what the Catholic church teaches in enormous, but very typical......first off, the church is on earth and in heaven. We ask saints to pray for us just as we ask other people to pray for us in our time of need. Have you ever heard of a prayer chain where people are asked to pray for a sick person or someone in need? Catholics ask saints to pray fro us too...why not? The bible says the prayers of the righteous are more powerful, and who is more righteous than those in heaven?
Catholics do not worship saints, Mary or statues. We do not place saints with an equal status of God.
Pick yourself up a Catechism of the church and read yourself what the church teaches instead of making a fool of yourself.

Yes; the Catholic Church lied it's butt off to make a sales job.

What appears to be your trouble is *accepting* the obvious answer.

"Catholics DO NOT PRAY TO SAINTS. We ask them to pray for us, just as we would ask friends and family to pray for us."

How can the dead pray for you? By the Bible, only Enoch and Jesus are in heaven, all others are dead until Judgement Day.
Scotty54 Wrote: Mar 31, 2013 12:19 PM
You say you used to be a Catholic. If so, you were poorly catechised and did not seek to correct the misinformation. Catholics DO NOT PRAY TO SAINTS. We ask them to pray for us, just as we would ask friends and family to pray for us.
Joseph64 Wrote: Mar 31, 2013 11:44 AM
Did you know that the Catholic church is polytheistic? It is true. When you pray to a saint instead of directly to God for something, then you are elevating the saint to equal status with God. The 1st Commandment says that "You shall have no other gods before me" yet that is exactly when you are doing when you pray to saint instead of directly to God.

Dear Comrade Cabin Boy,

Cue the semi-educated liberal who tries to denigrate Christianity by tying it to paganism without any context at all. As usual, your comments make you sound like you have some sort of a thought disorder. Of course you do, but since you’re an unmedicated liberal, it’s to be expected.
