Oakland’s Radical Occupy Teachers Finally Reveal Their Goal: ‘Abolish Capitalism’

This from the liberal fantasists of Occupy Oakland: "Capitalist tendencies run deep into the structure and politics of schools" Great point! After all, it's the "capitalist tendencies" of schools that bring rigor to enforcing teacher performance. They are why incompetent teachers are routinely dismissed. They are why disruptive students are not allowed to interrupt others' attempts to learn. They explain the consistent "raising of the bar" with regard to performance. Oh! Wait! Our public school system, utter failure that it is, has exactly NONE of those characteristics. Ah, well - let's just blame capitalism - the idiots love that sort of nonsensical sound bite!

You go to the head of the class and replace the dim bulb/ burnt out bulb standing there.

At least the teachers of Occupy Oakland are finally being honest about their political agenda.

They’re openly calling for an all-out abolition of capitalism.

The Occupy Oakland Education Committee – comprised of public school teachers from the Oakland, California school district – has renamed its publication “ClassRoom Struggle” and its platform TEACH, which stands for “Transform Education, Abolish Capitalism and Heal.”

Finally the radical teachers have acknowledged what we’ve been saying all along: they want to end capitalism and replace it with a socialist economy, quite possibly enforced by a totalitarian form of government.

And what, precisely, is their strategy?...
