Mitt Romney's top campaign aides conducted a conference call with conservative journalists this afternoon, during which they assessed the damage from Tuesday's electoral loss. The participants included campaign manager Matt Rhoades, political director Rich Beeson, polling director Neil Newhouse and digital director Zac Moffatt. A few notes from the call:
Matt Rhoades, on the overall race: "No campaign is perfect, and we certainly made our share of mistakes." On Paul Ryan: "He has come away from this race with a very bright future before him."
Rich Beeson, on the campaign's strategy: "We won independents and held the base....
Those who support Ron Paul should be looking at the Libertarian Party, if they haven't already. Even Laura Ingraham said that if the Republicans couldn't beat such a failed Presidency there is no reason for them to exist.
She's not a bad person, but she's not good for the GOP either. Too extreme, and the reason we get beat and most people want nothing to do with the GOP. She wears her shiaat on her sleeve too much, so to speak. Most Americans don't want to hear it, obviously, which is why we lost even to a shitbum like Obama.

How about Perry? Perry signed an illegal alien tuition bill into law, which gave illegal aliens benefits over and above American citizens, then he went to Mexico and bragged about it. Romney vetoed an illegal alien tuition bill in Mass. and trained his state troopers to arrest illegals for ICE deportation, which Sheriff Joe Arpaio used as his model.
Saying and doing are two different things.
Ron Paul? His wife supported him while he was in school. The government supported and trained him in doctoring after that. He has been sucking on the government trough for decades, complete with massive benefits, to include a Cadillac health care plan, then he tells others to fend for themselves, to not rely on the government.
Romney is the true conservative of the lot and morons ruined it, leaving us to 4 more years of Obama.
