It's a huge mess. Technically the money is not gone. It's in the form of iou's. ww10's point is valid. I would only consider it taking when one exceeds the principle and compound interest of was what taken. That's a bit different than handing money out from the get go. That should be stopped immediatly and before SS is touched for seniors and near seniors. SS then needs to go away.
