I had really hoped that Ross Mirkarimi would be convicted on misdemnor domestic violence. Under the Federal Law, he would never again be able to own, purchase or possess a firearm. That is the only crime where one can permanently loose a right in the bill of rights for a misdemenor. The democrats in the Peoples Republic of Kaliforrnia were instrumental in getting that law passed. However, it seems none of the political elite will ever get that particular misdemenor conviction.
