Complaints Mount Against Michelle Obama’s New Lunch Menu

If anyone has participating in their gov't school lunch program, you are receiving welfare. Paying your $1.50 against the $5 a day it costs for these meals is nothing. The gov't still forks out the balance to feed your child. Anyone complaining because the gov't school lunch program has cut out high-fructose corn syrup, artificial colors and flavors, trans fats and deep-frying is an idiot. And anyone mad that their kids's are meats and milk are hormone- and antibiotic-free, and many of its ingredients are organic and locally sourced needs their heads examined.

you are an IDIOT,have you considered that some children may have allergies to some of the foods?you are an IDIOT, not every one on free school lunch is on welfare.some are on unemployment, since we have no jobs, some are on disability ,others are grand parents raising their grad children and they are on social security, some are single parents working, and still have trouble making ends meet? THINK before posting your BS and trying to put people down,STAY the HELL out of our lives MOOOOOOCHEL you have nothing to say about what we feed our CHILDREN, go get a job where you actually work instead of freelowding on the TAX PAYERS DIME, try being a parent yourself then you will know maybe what life is all about.

The $5,.00 charge is primarily toe cost of the cafeteria workers, kitchen staff and teacher aides who monitor the lunchrooms. Meals have had government-subsidized farm ingredients, including the milk, for many years. The real issue here is one of dictatorial powers being assumed by a non-elected woman. Sounds like Eva Peron.

Fact is - the $1.50 is what a normal, healthy lunch meal would cost.

$3.50 is the amount that the government is paying in subsidies for their organic farmer campaign contributors.

So, let me get this straight, the govt has the right to decide what is "organic" and "whatever-free" for my children. They get to decide who gets "free lunch, free breakfast, free snack" or whatever, whether the parents object or not. And, or course, the tax-payer will foot the bill for the more expensive Non GM foods, organic foods, hormone-free foods, etc. without any input on that decision, or course. We're sliding toward dictatorship, people, one area life at a time. I hope the kids take a stand and the parents have the determination to back them up.
In Wisconsin, high school athletes are complaining about not getting enough to eat each day, due to the skimpy new school lunch menu mandated by the United States Department of Agriculture and First Lady Michelle Obama.

The story we published earlier this week on that subject is unfortunately not unique. Students across the country are complaining about the new school lunch regulations.

Perhaps the real motive is to starve students into slimming down. Just ask students in Pierre, South Dakota who, too, are in an all-out revolt.
