How to Celebrate the Fourth of July

I don't trust anyone with more than one, reasonably-sized flag on their porch.
Aw crap, 17 years? Crazy man! I'm not gonna lie though: I don't really enjoy being drunk. I love getting a few beers after work but I'm not one to get too crazy on a regular basis. But yeah, this article made my head spin. And responses to it are even worse. Maybe me and you should start a group of reasonable Townhall posters?
Hawker and AZBJD -- So you two realize you're guilty of not compromising, correct? Which is the point of the article. (Again, the author is guilty of the same thing as you guys.)
Really bad article. There's not even a new opinion here, just the author making blanket statements about how progressives are wrong. Well how about this? You say progressives won't compromise. Actually, you paint the entire progressive agenda as wrong and un-American, thus implying that your conservative agenda is the way to go. Nowhere do you make a statement such as "Conservatives are right on some things, Progressives are right on other things." Which of course makes you guilty of the exact thing you're accusing progressives of doing. This column is ridiculous.
So...you don't know the difference between progressives and Marxists? Nice.

Making Life Fair

Geez, I fall into the libertarian corner of the political spectrum on a lot of issues -- and I agree with some stuff Stossel talks about -- but there seems to be a ton of anger from the posters here. Anyone else notice the bitterness from Townhall posters? Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of angry idiots posting comments on left wing sites too. But Townhall posters seem to take the cake. Sometimes I wonder if any of you hardcore conservatives ever just chill out and relax. Judging by a lot of the posts I see on TH.com, a lot of you guys seem to be quite bitter and angry. Nobody's gonna shred the Constitution or take away your guns or what have you. Relax people! Try being happy for a little while.
