The Democrat Convention: As Pagan As They Wanna Be

Sure well-written, but it sucks that you have to insult one group by comparing them to another...I happen to be a real Pagan and I know quite a lot more Pagans who DON'T agree with the Democratic platform or their beliefs, and certainly don't VOTE for them. So perhaps you should consult a Thesaurus for a real SYNONYM to describe this group who we both don't agree with rather than pinning a name already in use by another group who may or may not be ok with being called vicious names...and I do consider being called a Democrat, which is essentially what you've done, a vicious insult. You might also consult history to find out the truth before just taking the dictionary at face-value.

Pagans were/are passive and peace loving. We love and want to protect our planet for future generations. Many of us are self-sustaining by growing our own food and using alternative energy types, but mess with our families, our people, or our land and we'll fight to the death.
Anybody slightly to the right politically of Arlen Specter has been struggling to define the freak show that was the just concluded Democrat Party Convention in Charlotte.

Terms du jour such as liberal, leftist, Marxist, or even statist don’t seem to fully encapsulate exactly what was on display this week. There’s a reason for that. That terminology is the result of the worldview that has now been fully embraced by the leadership of the Democrat Party, as well as many of its delegates. But that terminology itself doesn’t explain why we saw what we saw.

The word...
