Chris Matthews: Not Voting? You're an Idiot

Matthews is correct that voting for our representatives is a privilege we must hold sacred. We must insure there is no fraud. Anyone who is eligible should vote, but they must also be informed of the issues, the history of why our government is structured the way it is, what the consequences of the various ideologies are and what will allow us to be stronger in the future. You can't just read a news paper or listen to MSNBC and think you know your rear end from a hole in the ground. You need tor really understand what your vote represents. It is your responsibility to be informed so you know who or what to vote for; otherwise you are a waste of blood and treasure spent to insure your right to vote.

Well, that's one way to get people involved in the political process, Chris Matthews. The entire clip below shows a barrage of ridiculous statements coming from the MSNBC host, but calling those who aren't voting "idiots" definitely won the segment. MSNBC's Alex Wagner agreed with Matthews by saying, "This is true." The good stuff starts at 2:43.
