1st there's something confusing about the story. What do you mean when war broke out? War was going on in Vietnam from the 40s to the beginning of the 80s? So they did it on their own? Obviously they didn't. Thanks to the generosity of the American people we allowed them to come here, thanks to your family you sponsored them, your dad even gave the father a job, and in return your mom got some help at home. Did your family ever think of sponsoring a U.S. family? Or a U.S. child? i'm betting you didn't. How can you say that everyone has the same opportunity when this family got breaks that millions don't?
