we certainly can afford it. We just can't afford it along with supporting generations of drones who feed off of the few working people left in America. Cancel the EBT cards and we can afford all manner of things that tax payers would prefer.

Noonan is nothing more than another belway barrista ladling out whatever foam will sell. One of the very few good things about Romney's loss was that he took the credibility of the right wing talking heads with him. Life is simpler now. We can ignore the sage pronouncements of Noonan, Barone and any number of other "pundits" from the right.

There is nothing stable about the region. Nothing. Look at the behavior of the residents over a long period of time. Absent the iron grip of a strong man their tribal proclivities take off and they wind up killing each other over differences few outside the region can begin to understand. We offered them a shot at a different future. They decided against it. So they will live for a few more generations in grinding poverty and ignorance. Too bad for them.

This comment was clearly designed not to persuade us, but to insult us.

isn't it amazing that lefties can't think of anything new to say about Iraq? The above is nothing more than a repetition of the trite, tired liberal nostrums. This is the result of group think. How sad for this commenter that they cannot think for themselves nor, apparently, permit a new idea to enter their minds.

Intellectuals and Race: Part IV

Here's a quote I've been looking for a while. It is appropriate to so many of the conversations about race that we have these days. The author of the quote is Frederick Douglass. It is from 1862. The question he was asked was :What shall be done with the slaves if emancipated? Here is his answer: "Our answer is, do nothing with them; mind your business, and let them mind theirs. Your doing with them is their greatest misfortune. They have been undone by your doings, and all they now ask, and really have need of at your hands, is just to let them alone. They suffer by ever interference, and succeed best by being let alone. Let's try that it has to better than the disaster we face now.

so provide some proof to support your contentions. If you can't then publically withdraw your assertion.

Why is it that leftists must always go to the use of strawmen and extremes? Did Bozell state that he wanted censorship? I read the article but maybe I missed that. Point it out, will you? Yes, free speech and capitalism. What we lack is moral rectitude. As smarmy self righteous perverts like you seek to destroy Christianity in this country our culture becomes more and more coarse. The goal for the left is to emulate Europe where the churches are empty and the brothels are full. The left is well on its way to that. I say this because here in America the treasury is empty and the prisons are full. Nice going pal.

Our Real Manmade Climate Crisis

why would any thinking person accept the IPCC's word on anything? Did you get a ride in Pachuri's private jet? I can't think of any rational reason to believe a word of the IPCC's blather. Just a money grab by rent seekers and their useful idiots (that would be you)
While I agree with the general concern about public schools I am having a hard time seeing what the big deal is with this particular story. So they wore the garb? so what? The teacher did what teachers do everywhere, seek to impose her POV on her children. That's part of what we pay her for. The challenge for the right is to gain control of the school boards and drive the POV that is being taught closer to our position.
