Is the Republican Party the Party of God?

Does any intelligent person, who understands that the universe is made up of billions of galaxies, each with billions of stars, might be created by a God, having done this incredible feat, would be remotely concerned about whether people masturbate or engage in unorthodox sexual positions. Einstein believed that if there was a God, he was not a personal God and uninterested in personal affairs. It is pretty clear that todays Republicans would throw Einstein under the bus.

This just shows that you don't understand the true magnificance and capacity of love that God has. It also means that you did not read the verse where He says that the very hairs of our head are numbered, that He sees the sparrow fall. You see, you evaluate God according according to the very puny limited ability of YOUR mind to comprehend Him. Yes you are a speck. But God says that with Him, a day is as ten thousand years and ten thousand years is as a day. And you as a speck, are still seen by Him. Your thoughts are being revealed and He knows what good you could do IF you decided to live for Him.

Your god is too small. Try again.

Who said YOU were any intelligent person?

You're consistent with meager if any intelligence! The Son of God taught us God is our heavenly Father, able to keep count of each hair on your head. He cares when a tiny sparrow falls to the ground; and knew you when you started life in your mother's womb.

Don't come around here with your BS.

I am an independent voter, and I believe that Einstein made some serious mathematical errors in his theory. My experience is that you can show these difficulties to scientists, and they will ignore them because the theory of relativity has diverted more money from public revenues to science than any other thing in history.

"whether people masturbate or engage in unorthodox sexual positions"

Your deliberate choosing of ridiculous examples just underscores the weakness of your argument.

God is concerned with whether people will choose to acknowledge him as their rightful authority, rather than choosing to flip him off and make their own rules as if they were greater than him. It only stands to reason that those doing the former will behave differently than those doing the latter, particularly where something as powerful as sex is concerned (though "unorthodox sexual positions" doesn't seem to be the main concern of either).

The Democratic Party Platform contains just one reference to “God,” and the inclusion of that single reference was famously booed by many delegates at the Democratic convention. In contrast, the Republican Party Platform contains 12 references to “God,” and candidate Romney has emphatically stated, “I will not take God out of the name of our platform. I will not take God off our coins and I will not take God out of my heart. We’re a nation that’s bestowed by God.” Does this make the GOP the party of God?

The Democratic Platform certainly stands in stark contrast with the Republican...
