There are many ways to serve your country. Since the dawn of civilization diplomats have been at the frontlines of political interests. By turning this attack into a ridiculously transparent political tool the Republicans are slandering the honor of our fallen heroes. Following this line of logic I wonder if the GOP is going to start calling in the Joint Chiefs and Sec.Def every time theres a road side blast in Afghanistan.

Six-The defense department has made several changes in response to roadside bomb attackes. When changes were needed at the embassy, requests were denied.

And if we gave favored treatment to our diplomats in Libya by sending them more security forces, would that be fair to our diplomats in Luxembourg or Sweden? We need to spread the force around.

So was anyone disturbed by the mention that the Marines stationed at embassies are not there to protect the personnel, only the documents? So people and what they know are less important than the classified documents stored there? Have we as a nation deteriorated to the point that things are more important than the lives of American servants?

Stupid comment, six. The contention, and the facts point to this, is that the administration deliberately lied about the attack for political purposes. Further, NO ONE has yet give any explanation for why requests for additional security were denied. Clinton takes full responsibility, except that she doesn't because it's not her fault! I good president would have fired her, and a good secretary of state would have resigned.

Barack Obama and his administration (includes Hillary Clinton) are incapable of telling the truth.

UPDATE: During Clinton's testimony in front of the House Armed Services Committee Wednesday afternoon, Reps. Dana Rohrabacher, Matt Salmon and Mo Brooks mentioned the anti-Islam film originally blamed for the attack. Clinton danced around the subject by saying the investigation into what happened in Benghazi is ongoing. The best exchange was between Clinton and Brooks:

U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens sent multiple requests for more security to the State Department throughout 2012 and cited al Qaeda threats as a reason why it was needed. The extra security was never...
