Lower and Simplify Taxes!

Mr. Stossel - any thoughts on how I can recover my social security "contributions?" I've been paying in (taxed) for 25 years, since the age of 16, and yet I will never get any of that money back and the social security fund will become insolvent years before I can retire. The Supreme Court has also ruled, on two occasions, that none of us (contributors) are entitled to the money - it is not our money (nor our property) but a tax with no obligation by the government to give you something in return.

I am hit with federal, state, county, and city income tax. I am paying county and city real estate property tax. And I pay social security and medicare taxes as well. Soon I can add a national sales tax to the list....

I very much enjoy reading the writings of Mr. Williams, and most always I agree with his views. However, it is COLOMBIA and not Columbia. This is a common mistake made by those living in the Washington D.C. area.

America is indeed on the decline and I wonder if it is worth saving any more. Time for a new start? And we use the original constitution to begin?
