Jindal couldn't be more right. Looking back on the tactics used in this election, the whole "makers and takers" argument, and ones like it, should not have been promoted like they were. These are political analyses, not stump speeches. They rile up the base, but don't do much to garner independent votes because they are not an argument for anything. http://freedomlinks.wordpress.com/
As Guy points out, losses in these states were indicative of a larger trend. Far few people voted for Obama this year than in 2012...7.5 million fewer. What happened is Republicans ASSUMED that the independents who turned their backs on Obama would in turn vote for Romney...it didn't happen. Romney received LESS votes than Mccain did, which tells me that the only people who came out for Romney was the base, and that there was in fact no coalition of independents. Conservatives were thus wrongly preaching to the choir. We need to do a better job with our messaging. http://freedomlinks.wordpress.com/

I was proud to donate a few bucks to American Crossroads. Without trying to keep up with Obama's massive spending, Republicans would have lost even worse. Keep in a mind, a few point swing would drastically have changed this election. Florida would have been won, same with Virginia and Ohio. It was much worse than expected, but this was no Obama mandate. http://freedomlinks.wordpress.com/

It is ignorant. One thing I have taken from this election is that even though this absolutely is about the takers and the makers, we need to frame the argument differently. We need to convince people exactly WHY it is that these liberal policies, which seem to be beneficial, are really actually destructive to them. I think conservatives assumed too much, and need to do a better ideological job of explaining things. http://freedomlinks.wordpress.com/

I'm not as optimistic. We are on our way to managing our decline and its pace, and nothing more, unless something drastic happens. What a horrible day for America. http://freedomlinks.wordpress.com/

It's amazing with a record as horrible as this president has that it is so close. I have faith in a Romney victory. If it isn't a victory, this country will never again enjoy the degree of freedoms it has in the past. Of that, I unfortunately also have faith. http://freedomlinks.wordpress.com/
This is clearly a turning point in this country. God save the republic. http://freedomlinks.wordpress.com/

This may sound desperate or perhaps short-sighted, but if Republicans can't win this election with the economy the way it is, we have in fact permanently lost the country we once knew and loved. I think Romney will squeak out a victory, but it looks like it's gonna be close. http://freedomlinks.wordpress.com/

If Barack Obama loses in 5 days, it will make Bill Clinton the ONLY Democrat in the last 50 years to win a second term...and this is despite a miserable lying media that covers for liberals at every turn. All I can say to that is God Bless America! Oh, and let's not forget that the only reason Bubba got in was because of Ross Perot! http://freedomlinks.wordpress.com/

I get downright giddy when I see numbers like this, but like most people, I'm going to be holding my breath right through election day. I STILL wouldn't count out an October surprise from Team Chicago. Can you imagine a Vice President Paul Ryan? THAT'S progress! http://freedomlinks.wordpress.com/
Barring some other October surprise, I think this election is over. I also think the jobs numbers are going to show an uptick in the unemployment rate which should refocus things a bit. http://freedomlinks.wordpress.com/
