5-26-2011 - WDC - The Supreme Court on Thurs upheld an AZ law that imposes harsh penalties on businesses that hire illegal immigrants.
The challenge to the AZ law that was the subject of Thurs decision was brought by a coalition of business and civil liberties groups, with support from the Obama admin.
They said the law in question, the Legal AZ Workers Act, conflicted with federal-immigration-policy.

They claim the exclusive power is found in Art-VI, cl-2 of our Fed-USC which declares:
“This USC, and the Laws of the US which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the US, shall be the supreme Law of the Land;
and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the USC or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.”
But the above “supremacy” only applies to those powers specifically enumerated and delegated by the States to the Fed-Govt in our written Fed-USC !
And the irrefutable fact is, there is no power
More importantly, a reading of the debates of our founding fathers involving our nation’s Rule of
"Naturalization" in 1790 established beyond any doubt, the various States specifically avoided granting a sweeping power over
"Immigration" to Congress. And, the limited power granted is over “Naturalization” which is stated as follows:
Congress shall have power:
To establish an uniform Rule of "Naturalization", Art-1, Sec-8
The USC also states The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States, Art-IV, Sec-2
