"why should a middle class family spend $1000 a month on healthcare? They shouldn't"

They shouldn't but the "progressives" require insurance to provide almost all healthcare at no cost. So instead of paying for your own basic healthcare expenses and then using insurance for catastrophic coverage, you have to pay extremely high insurance rates. And because a huge population refuses to pay for their own healthcare, the rest of us have to carry the freeloaders thereby increasing the health care costs. Having a single payer system doesn't change the fact that healthcare will still cost what it does (and will actually cost much more). It just attempts to change who pays for it. Again more of us paying for freeloaders.

FaceBook Advice For Politicians

The advice she gives wasn't very practical. She didn't explain that you can use Twitter and Facebook in combination if you want to update every five minutes. She didn't differentiate between a public and private profile (I keep a private profile so that I can post family photos). She's also silly about the whole married/single setting. If you are married, you should indicate so. If you aren't married, then you are "single." Period.

Stating that you can be who you want to be on the internet is a little creepy and misleading. It's one thing to hide your faults...it's altogether another "to be who you want."
