"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants" Thomas Jefferson... The prophecy of that statement may very well be imminent!

The 'greatness' of America is in that hundreds of thousands of Americans lost their lives, in devotion to their belief that slavery was wrong. Man can make no stronger statement.
And deplorably, congress, those we've elected to bring balance to the nation just sit by and let it happen. You've got to hand it to progressives...they have raised corruption, deceit, lying, and fraud to an art form.
And the cement that produces productive, patriotic Americans is pride. Pride in accomplishment, pride in appearance, and pride in America. To accept without earning, degrades self worth and produces resentment, sloth and decadence. Lady Liberties torch is getting dim and her eyes are full of tears.

Deeply puzzling, and troubling, is that those 100% turnouts are never discussed, investigated, or mentioned. That they're not is one more statement of the decline of America. Lady Liberties eyes are full of tears. Her vision is growing dim.
History is full of failed societies that abdicated principle, values, morals, and ethics. Liberal thinking lives in the moment, forgets history and fails.

This forum needs an editing function...There's just no 'starting place' to begin a story on how government perverts a noble agenda once a bureaucracy is created to mitigate a perceived problem. For instance, in my part of the country thousands of acres of 'wetlands' have been created by the Columbia Basin irrigation District, yet if bureaucrats discover a frog in your bathtub they'll move you out of your house. The push now is protection of the gray squirrel. The common wisdom now, is that if you discover a gray squirrel on your property, get rid of it immediatly. If the Federal snoopers discover it they will shut you down. The absurdity is maddening.

The Greatest Recession

The fed keeps pumping money into the banks, the banks pump the markets, the markets attract those few who still believe that their retirement money is safe, wall street smiles, pumps it some more, the dollar loses even more when the time is right...Wall St. cashes in. You're retirement went into their bonuses, mansions, and political crony's. It's a game folks...buy precious metals...when the dollar is worthless, you will be the one smiling.
and...what rational mind would conclude that a plan could be conceived to stop climate change? Where I live the earth was covered with ice a mile deep no more than 16000 years ago...my SUV didn't melt that.
