I took your advice in 2007 Dave. I have three more payments on my Jeep (which I'll go ahead and pay off after Christmas anyway) and then I AND my daughter are absolutely, 100% debt-free!!! She and I both keep one credit card each with a $3,000 limit for emergencies and occasional major essential purchases. Other than that we use cash. It's becoming more and more obvious to us how many places "weird" on you when you make a major purchase over $100 and pay cash. They look at us as if we were from another planet.
