In response to:

The Bogus Threat from Shariah Law

Sure marriage is safe from Shariah Law, just like we will never hear the Progressives want "I now pronounce you man and sheep." Does TH put Chapman on here as some kind of sick joke? Muslims are the enemy. They will never quit until they win or are dead. Hundreds of years of violence against Christians and Jews proves the truth. Muslims ban Bibles and preaching the Gospel, punishable by death, nothing to fear there.

Certain Muslim countries ban Bibles and preaching the Gospel, others don't. It's one thing to be wary of Islamists, another to treat all Muslims as the enemy. Jews and Christians do not hold a monopoly on only sticking to the parts of their scriptures that are compatible with modernity.

Low information post, obviously a progressive to be so uninformed.

Most countries that follow sharia law BAN any other religion. Tell ya what Dean, see if you can take a vacation to Mecca sometime, let us know if you make it.

Your post is pure progressive nonsense. Contrary to the tenets of political correctness, Islam cannot be compatible with the fundamental values of western civilization, including those of the United States. If you have the intellectual honesty to do so, do an A/B comparison of the Koran and our founding documents; they cannot be reconciled or made to agree. Either the Koran gives way, or our values give way. Care to guess which Muslims have in mind?

Read "Marked for Death" by Geert Wilders, a man of real courage and moral integrity - for simply criticizing Islam, he was been condemned to death by an Islamic fatwa and has lived under guard for the last 8 years. Why? Because he exercised his freedom to speak his mind. Think about that for a moment. Is that the kind of society in which you want to live?

In the 19th century, Catholicism was regarded by many people in this country as thoroughly incompatible with Americanism. They saw it as a hostile foreign element that would subvert democracy. Today, a majority of the justices on the Supreme Court are Catholic, and they are taken to be as American as Mountain Dew.

We've come a long way in religious tolerance. Or maybe not. The belief that Catholics are irredeemably alien and disloyal has given way to the fear that Muslims pose a mortal threat to our way of life.

That distrust is behind a push in state legislatures...
