Exposed: The Secret Plot by Writers to Take Over the World

The problem with the global warming nuts is the premise that carbon dioxide is the villain is completely wrong. So, they come up with solutions to a problem that does not exist and ruin the economy of the USA by destroying energy production in oil and coal. If we produced oil and coal like we should, the recession and the unemployment problems would be gone. Unfortunately, it looks like poverty is the goal of the left. Communism enjoys everyone in poverty except the political class.

And, oh, will those rank and file progressives be shocked when they are caught up in the purge that necessarily follows every consolidation of power... Hahaha!

U.S. refiners such as Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) have delivered 10 times the returns of Exxon Mobil Corp., gaining an average 43 percent to Exxon’s 4.2 percent and outperforming every other energy sector in the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index. Gushing shale wells from North Dakota to the U.S.-Mexico border have lowered costs and more than doubled profit margins on gasoline and diesel production.

See? We can be the world's largest energy producer.

You have a strong point, which i support, shubi, but its not quite as powerful as first glance indicates. The Saudis get gas out of the ground at around 5$/bbl, and they have shown they will adjust price to maintain market share, In the 70's they backed down to $30/bbl to undercut American oil production which became profitable at about $33/bbl. New demand from China/India/others has reduced the impact of the miniscule current American production so the price is much higher. No doubt the Arabs would re-price thier oil at just below the price of fracked crude. Our energy costs would plummet, but market/demand and other factors would still prevent an American bonanza.

We could hire the American oil companies to drill, pump, process, and deliver to us all the petroleum products we need, from our domestic supplies, for cost plus nine cents profit per gallon. There would be no OPEC and speculator costs, and there should be no taxes added. The initial cost would be higher, until the new drill rigs and refineries are operational, but the money would remain in the United states.

Dear Comrade Mark,

Yes. We writers make TONS of money. They just shovel it at us. Because, you know, all of us writers are the Masters to all of you indentured servants.
