There was at least one group whose dreams took a giant leap forward due to the events of 2012. That group would be the liberal statist elites. The re-election of BO and the retention of the Senate combined with an ever more complicit and traitorous press ensures the further destruction of the Republican party and a seemingly unstoppable march toward a one-party Chicago-style state where the ruling elite dispense privileges and power based on the patronage of its subjects. In 2012 we took a giant leap past the tipping point toward transforming our nation to one "Of the liberal statist elites, by the liberal statist elites, for the liberal statist elites."

The year 2012 saw the triumph of cold reality over pie-in-the-sky dreams.

Barack Obama in 2008 won an election on an upbeat message of change in the hope that the first black president would mark a redemptive moment in American history. Four years later, the fantasies are gone.
