Jackie, your father has some admirable traits. However at this point he is now in need of stepping back and helping conservatives take back our country. He has enormous unfavorables with many of the groups are absolutely essential to get rid of the WH fraud. There is a place for his talents, but now he has made himself unelectable to the majority of the electorate.

Excellent article. I think that in the long haul we are better off with Romney. Conservatives need to understand that we need someone electable. Newt at this point is acting like a spoiled brat. What we cons need to understand is that we need to win the WH (plus Senate and keep house) in order to make progress with undoing the monstrous amount of damage this fraud in the WH has perpetrated. Putting up Newt as a candidate may feel good to some (fewer and fewer) but having this supposed ideological purity will not win the independents that we need to prevail. We all need to see that the libs have taken away more and more from working Americans over decades. We cannot get it all back to level in one term. Slow and steady wins the race.
