To george will-this article could not be more on point. you have hit the nail right on the head. thank goodness for you and your columns-i only hope that their ideas penetrate the thickness of liberal democrats and others too dense to understand the workings of our government since the beginning of its existence. your views are absolutely correct and i will be watching with great interest this tuesday to see if the law,

excellent column, as usual, very pertinent to today's so-called "identity politics" and their search for special treatment and privileges. we are a totally different nation than we were back in those days, and from all appearances, we will never rise to that level again.we are much too self-centered and selfish today. listening to today's special interest groups complain about the discrimination and persecution to which they are subjected, and how they are entitled to special, preferential treatment, one can hardly believe what people actually went through during those trying times.
