Another analogy would be the Japanese earthquake/tsunami/nuclear meltdown. The Earthquake did not physically cause the nuclear problem, that was caused by the tsunami swamping the system, and shutting down the power, but the tsunami was caused by the earthquake, therefore, it would be reasonable to say that the earthquake caused the nuclear meltdown.
WOOPS, I almost forgot, that paragon of virtue, Barney Frank!!!!
Don't forget Elliott Spitzer, Rod Blagoyevich (sp), Anthony Weiner, George Ryan, Otto Kerner, Daniel Walker, Dan Rostenkowski, Jim McGreevy....... The list goes on, on BOTH sides of the aisle. That's what is wrong with career politicians. Absolute power, corrupts absolutely. NEVER vote to re-elect a politician who is not subject to term limits!!!!
Thanks for the link, I just watched it. As a fan of more "melodic" music, than Rap, I still liked it enough to send the link to all of my politically active friends.
"Where was The Tea Party movement when Republicans ran up 70% of The National Debt?" Simple, it was done incrementally, by both rePUBICans AND DUMBocrats. Traditionally, we Americans, have always overlooked incrementalism. It is how we have strayed from remaining within the bounds of the Constitution, Article I, Section 8, Enumerated powers of Congress, and the Tenth Amendment. This president threw incrementalism out the window, with the bath water. The Tea Party is about the massive and rapid growth of government, and debt. We reached a $450B deficit under "W", and in his first year, "O" ran up a $1.7T deficit. More in ONE YEAR, than all other presidents combined, more than triple that, of "W"'s deficit. All of it unconstitutional.
"We cannot take the White House without the middle - a deep conservative will not get the middle." Aha, much like Reagan? You might want to re-think that. "W" was actually more of a centrist candidate, and BARELY won two elections, even losing the popular vote in the 2000 election. In fact, every wishy washy, centrist Repubican candidate, in recent memory, has gotten his hat handed to him. At least since Nixon. Ford in '76, Bush 41 in '92, Dole, in '96, McLame in '08. The only principled conservative to have lost, since the Second World War, was Goldwater, and that was because he was demagogued into political obscurity. He allowed himself to be labeled a kook, which was far from the truth. Sorry, I don't believe we must elect a centrist.
It's not that big of a stretch, to see how that could be said. Think about it, the Tea Party is a direct response to President Obama's policies, especially those relating to economics. It is simple cause and effect, like the yin and yang. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Much like the racist activities of white supremacists, brought on the racist activities of the black panthers, and such. No, it is NOT inaccurate, to say that Obama created the Tea Party, and has no similarity to AlGore's claim to have been the driving force, in Congress, that created the internet. While it is great fodder for jokes, AlGore NEVER claimed to have invented the internet. He simply tried to take credit for something that Congress did, as a whole
I believe the demagoguery of the Tea Party is an attempt to marginalize, them, and make people who aren't as politically involved, mistrust their motives. It's not that we are adamantly opposed to tax hikes, should they be necessary. We simply want to get spending under control, and get the Congressional houses in order, before any tax hikes are to be considered. As has been said, myriad times, our government does not have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem. If the people would only realize that it is THEIR money that Congress is spending, they might be more like the farmer, who once told David Crockett, why he would not vote for him, any longer, as told in the article, "Davey Crockett, Libertarian", by John Fund, in the WSJ

I have never understood why black Americans put up with being held back, by a system designed to keep people impoverished, and then, continue to vote for those who promote this agenda of impoverishment. And now we are spreading the misery to other minorities, no longer primarily blacks. All in order to get the support of the race-hustling, poverty pimps, come election time. Jesse and Al, ought to be ashamed of themselves, and minorities ought to stop voting for those who are keeping the boot of oppression, on their necks. Frequently, we hear of black Americans, who do not tow the line, of liberalism, referred to, as "Uncle Tom's". I say the true "Uncle Tom's" if there really are any, are those who vote monolithically, for Dumbocrats.
