Team Obama: Oh, You Bet Americans Are Better Off Today

We can all agree the Democrats on Obama's team were ill prepared when the question of progress over the past four years came up. Though, at first glimpse the question would seem uncomplicated but quite on the contrary. The topic of the economic crisis technically inherited by bush could be easily said as the "blame game" or "shrinking responsibility" on Obama's part. Yet accepting fault could risk the voters support, making a tight spot to move around in. Obama's did however make some progress over his four year term, including the 4.5 million job increase in only two years of his term. So of course we are better off today then we were before! We have to keep this rolling ****OBAMA 12**********

So he needs to lie for our own good. Great.

Obama's job creation rate hasn't even kept up with population growth, and the amount of stimulus spent per job is on the order of $317,000 per job - as calculated by Obama's own in-house accountants.

Obamacare is unsustainable; he's stolen over $700,000 from Medicare to pay for it with no cost-effective results and plenty of problems both fiscal and non-.

We need more of that like a fish needs a fishhook.

And, to point it out yet again, anything nice you can credit the stimulus for is hot air. Every penny has to be paid back. There was no Keynsian acceleration of consumer demand or anything else, just things Obama touts as if they were additions to our well-being when they are, in fact, nothing but deferred liabilities that we and our descendants will have to pay back - and in no small measure, to such dandy folks as the Chinese.

After tripping over this question repeatedly throughout the long weekend, Democrats have finally settled on their official spin: Americans are better off today than they were four years ago:

A day after fumbling a predictable and straightforward question posed by Mitt Romney last week — are Americans better off than they were four years ago — the Obama campaign provided a response on...
