(of course, the GOP is not a "righteous" Party, but compared to the Democratic Party the GOP is --- let's just say that the Dem's are to the Repubs what Mephistopheles is to Pope Francis --- a sad reflection on the state of the 21st century Democratic Party)
"... an America where Christianity isn't an important part of everyday life would no longer be America in any meaningful sense." Haven't we arrived at that point? Does not the election and re-election of a leftist who heads an immoral and corrupt Democratic Party indicate that Christian morality no longer plays an important part in American life?
As a devout Christian I have no problem with evolution --- except when it comes to modern man. That whole thing about evolving from primates and that all of us are 98% chimpanzee just seems --- well --- I guess I just don't have enough faith to believe that.
Nice column. Also, good timing as I prepare for the start of Sabbath about thirty hours from now.
How 'bout we make 2016 all about ObamaCare?

"Winning elections IS NOT THE GOAL! Constitutional government is the GOAL." There seems to be a fatal logical flaw in your concluding statement. If winning elections is not achieved, Constitutional government will not be achieved. If Constitutional government is TRULY your goal - which I doubt - then you should make winning elections your priority.

"With or without the re-election of McConnell Republicans are on track to win back the senate" SIX --- that is the key number for gaining control of the Senate. Without the re-election of McConnell, can you explain how the GOP reaches that number?

It is time for principled, non-Republican conservatives to take an unwavering stand. We have to join other conservatives in order to stop the Obamacratic Party. If that means voting for a Republican over a third party candidate who more closely reflects our beliefs, then so be it. Let's face a tough fact: Any conservative's vote cast for a Libertarian or other third party candidate is a vote that is cast for Obama.

Tinsldr2, your failure (or refusal) to see a personal or moral confrontation is a lack of understanding of the picture I portrayed. When one person created in God's image meets another person created in God's image, who is putting the Word of God into the hands of the first man, there is a confrontation that takes place without any words being spoken. And the confrontation is not one person with another person; the confrontation is either between the first person and God, or between that person and himself (or his conscience). Point 2: "Are you saying a Civilian has a RIGHT to stand in any Military building he wants handing out any book he wants?" Of course, that is what I'm saying --- provided that civilian and the organization he represents (the Gideons, in this case) have submitted to proper vetting.
"If an unbeliever offers to buy a cake from you, sell it without raising questions of conscience. But if someone says to you, 'This cake is for a gay wedding celebration,' then do not sell the cake, both for the sake of the one who told you it was for a gay wedding, and for the sake of conscience. I am referring to the other person’s conscience, not yours." (a paraphrase from I Corinthians Chapter 10) Christian business owners who are committed to following Biblical principles will always act on the basis of principle rather than profit in cases such as the one on which Prager bases this column. It is not surprising that nonbelievers would have a hard time with that one. It is incredibly sad that the exercise of religious freedom guaranteed in our Constitution is now punished as an illegal act.
Hey, now, give TOK a chance. She might surprise you and actually agree with Prager on this one.
