Ironic how quick progressives and liberals are to cry "unfair," yet the very idea of "free" anything means someone else is paying the bill for your consumption. If eating at a restaurant, you send your bill to the next table and demand that the liberal pay for it, he may understand that it is truly unfair, but in the next breath will demand universal health care. It is "fair" for him as long as something is being paid for by someone other than himself.
